SPLITTER OPTICO optical splitters are passive components that divide the optical signal in a PON network. They are made up of one or two input fibers and N output fibers, which divide the power of the optical signal proportionally between them, characterizing them as balanced splitters.

Manufactured using the PLC (Planar Light Wave Circuit) method, they provide a high standard for applications in high-density locations. They are used in P2MP and WDM networks, where the optical signal coming from the central facility, with different power and length, is divided among many subscribers.
